L'app active-t-elle CarPlay ? Non. BimmerPlay Check fait uniquement le diagnostic : elle vous dit si CarPlay est déjà là, activable ou nécessite un boîtier, et comment procéder. L'activation se fait en concession ou chez un spécialiste du codage.
Faut-il un adaptateur ? Non. Vous pouvez répondre aux questions et coller la liste d'options obtenue avec votre VIN. Un adaptateur ENET (Wi-Fi ou câble) ou OBD Bluetooth permet de lire directement l'unité iDrive, pour un verdict plus sûr.
Où trouver mon VIN ? Sur la carte grise (case E) et en bas du pare-brise, côté conducteur. Les 7 derniers caractères suffisent pour les décodeurs BMW.
L'app ne trouve pas la voiture. Mettez le contact (bouton Start sans le pied sur le frein), vérifiez que l'iPhone est connecté au Wi-Fi de l'adaptateur ENET, ou que le Bluetooth est activé pour un adaptateur OBD. Vous pouvez aussi saisir l'adresse IP de l'adaptateur dans l'onglet Voiture.
Mon modèle est-il pris en charge ? BMW et MINI des générations F, G et U, avec écrans EntryNav2, NBT Evo et iDrive 7 ou 8. Pour les modèles plus anciens, l'app indique les solutions possibles.
Le verdict est-il garanti ? Il s'appuie sur la configuration d'usine et sur ce qui est lu dans la voiture, avec un niveau de confiance affiché. Faites toujours confirmer par le professionnel qui réalisera l'activation.

Does the app activate CarPlay? No. BimmerPlay Check only diagnoses: it tells you whether CarPlay is already there, can be activated or needs an add-on box, and how to proceed. Activation is done by a dealer or a coding specialist.
Do I need an adapter? No. You can answer the questions and paste the option list obtained from your VIN. An ENET adapter (Wi-Fi or cable) or an OBD Bluetooth adapter lets the app read the iDrive unit directly, for a more reliable verdict.
Where is my VIN? On the registration document and at the bottom of the windshield, driver's side. The last 7 characters are enough for BMW decoders.
The app can't find the car. Turn the ignition on (Start button without pressing the brake), check that the iPhone is on the ENET adapter's Wi-Fi, or that Bluetooth is on for an OBD adapter. You can also enter the adapter's IP address in the Car tab.
Is my model supported? BMW and MINI from the F, G and U generations, with EntryNav2, NBT Evo and iDrive 7 or 8 screens. For older models, the app shows the possible solutions.
Is the verdict guaranteed? It relies on the factory configuration and on what is read from the car, with a confidence level shown. Always have it confirmed by the professional who will do the activation.
